Estates Service

The Estates Service, sitting in the Growth and Enterprise division of the Place Directorate, provides key support across the whole Council, underpinning the Council's service delivery and enabling outcomes to be delivered in safe, secure and comfortable accommodation. 

The Service is the Council's Corporate Landlord with 4 interlinked functions:

  1. It provides expert advice in the acquisition, development and disposal of property assets (and/or commissions and manages external expertise); 
  2. It ensures safe, compliant buildings through facilities management services, providing fit for purpose accommodation to staff, contractors and residents; 
  3. It hosts the Cheshire Farms Shared Service; and 
  4. It delivers a function focused on construction projects and property related consultancy services. 

As a result, the service delivers its own activity but also provides property support to other teams and directorates within the Council.
