There are around 80 spaces. Your ID badge should grant you access to this car park. If you have any issues, please email: idbadges@cheshireeast.gov.uk Electric vehicle charging There are 4 electric car charging bays available for staff use, in the small delivery area at the back of the building by the staff entrance. These can be used to charge your electric vehicle at a cost of 45p/kWh for a corporate vehicle or 55p/kWh for your own vehicle. Please note, it is your responsibility to move your car as soon as practicably possible after it is charged so it can be used by others. You must not leave your car in a faulty bay, but we ask that faults be reported to the BSO office (or via buildingsupportofficerdh@cheshireeast.gov.uk). Video tour of Delamere House Staff access: We ask that staff use the staff entrance door, at the rear of the building, not the front visitor entrance. Your ID badge provides your building access. Desk space in the building is allocated out by Directorate: Floor 1 and Floor 7 are for Children’s Services; Floor 2 and Floor 6 are for Place (Highways and their partners occupying Floor 6 exclusively); Floor 3 and Floor 4 are for Corporate Services and Floor 5 is for Adult’s Services. It is up to individual Directorates to determine whether they use desk-booking on their floors. Network/internet access: Wireless internet access available throughout the building. Kitchen facilities: Main kitchen on floor 3, hot water, plus vending machine for snacks and cold drinks. Bring your own tea/coffee/milk. Smaller kitchens are available on all floors with fridges and water boiler wall kettles. Sandwiches/coffee: Coffee and sandwich shops all within walking distance. Nearby facilities: Cash machine and Post Office in town centre (3 minutes walk.)
Meeting facilities and catering Visitors Visiting staff should be able to access the building via the staff entrance with their ID Badge. Visiting staff should aim to sit amongst their own Directorate wherever possible (see section above). However, there is touch-down space for 6 on Floor 2 short (directly opposite the doors to the right as you face the lift). External visitor access is via the main reception at the front of the building, open 8.45am until 5.00pm. Contact reception in advance of any visitors you are expecting via delamere.reception@cheshireeast.gov.uk or on 01270 371409 or 01270 371407. Guest wifi is available: Wireless internet access for visitors (Lighthouse). Meeting rooms All available rooms outside the ground floor reception rooms, are bookable via Book meeting rooms online. For the ground floor Committee Suites, please contact cebookings@cheshireeast.gov.uk; and for the ground floor interview rooms please contact delamere.reception@cheshireeast.gov.uk. Meeting rooms in the building do book up, so please remember to cancel any rooms that you no longer require. For external meetings: The Committee Suites consist of three rooms, all teams enabled, that can be opened up in to one large suite. The rooms are the main venue for South of borough Committee meetings and as such the default layout is as one large room seating up to 36 – 50 (depending on furniture layout). However, the rooms configure into meetings rooms Committee Suite 1 for 12 people, Committee Suite 2 for 12 people and Committee Suite 3 for 12 people, Committee Suite 1 and 2 for 24 people, Committee Suite 2 and 3 for 24 people. The Committee Suites are team-enabled. If used as one large facility microphone and voting technology is available. There are also 4 short-use customer/interview rooms off reception: Interview Room 1 has dual door arrangement and seats up to 4 people; Interview Room 2 and Interview Room 3 have panic buttons and each seat up to 4 people. Interview Room 4 seats 3 people. Additionally, ‘Del 1 Floor 1’ is suitable for external visitors, seating 24, and is teams-enabled. This room is bookable via the online meeting rooms. For internal meetings: There are 16 meeting rooms accommodating between 2 - 12 people. Delamere 2 (Floor 6) is the designated meeting place for the Emergency Planning Team and in the event of an emergency this would take preference over any previously booked meeting. Catering There are small kitchens on each floor where hot drinks can be made by meeting attendees if they bring their own tea, coffee, milk and sugar. To support efficient and safe working practices, the housekeeping team can supply hot drinks for larger meetings (six or more attendees). This can be arranged via the room booking system. Costs are rechargeable, so please provide a cost centre code at the time of ordering. Currently catering is not organised via housekeeping, but we do have a limited supply of crockery that can be borrowed upon request via the room booking system. Unless your refreshments are booked via the room booking system we respectively ask that you clear used crockery yourself – dishwashers are available in the kitchen on each floor. If no-one is genuinely around to do this, please report the need for a room to be cleared via the buildingsupportofficerdh@cheshireeast.gov.uk. Thank you for your cooperation in ensuring rooms are left clean and tidy.
Contacts, first aiders and emergencies Building Support Officers are present in the building from 7am until 7pm to assist with all local issues and general queries including: printer jams/issues, meeting room set up, reporting cleaning needs/spillages, broken plug sockets and Health and Safety hazards/risks. You can contact them via buildingsupportofficerdh@cheshireeast.gov.uk or pop in and see them on Ground Floor near the rear staff entrance.
