Borrow a bike

As part of our commitment to becoming carbon neutral by 2027, staff now have access to a bike library. You can borrow a bike from the bike library at Delamere House in Crewe for up to 2 weeks, free of charge. You can use it for commuting, but you can also take it home to use for leisure too.

There are 6 bikes available – 2 folding bikes, 1 standard men’s bike, 1 standard women’s bike and 2 e-bikes.

How to book a bike

To book a bike, email bikelibrary@cheshireeast.gov.uk.

You will need to collect from and return the bike to Delamere House in Crewe.

What we provide

Before you borrow a bike for the first time, we can provide:

  • some initial training sessions for anyone who would like to practise riding the bikes
  • information about the highway code
  • sessions showing how to use the e-bikes and folding bikes
  • helmets and hi-vis jackets

If you would like to know more about the scheme and the bikes we have available before you book, email bikelibrary@cheshireeast.gov.uk.
