Environmental Protection

The Environmental Protection team are part of the Regulatory Services and Health Department and are responsible for:

• Investigating complaints of Nuisance - everything from noise, smoke, lights, insects through to nuisance premises
• Environmental Permitting – risk based inspection of industrial processes
• Air Quality - from road traffic pollution to garden bonfires
• Contaminated Land - either through influencing development control framework or through direct intervention
• Pest Control – rats and mice only – either through chargeable service or enforcement activity
• Private water supplies – chargeable service of undertaking sampling and risk assessments
