Commercial Services

The Commercial Services team are part of the Regulatory Services and Health Department and are responsible for:

• Food Safety – risk based inspection of food businesses, food hygiene training, food sampling, food hygiene rating scheme, export health certification and investigation of food complaints, food poisoning outbreaks / infectious disease investigations, advice and enforcement
• Health and Safety at Work – inspections of businesses, accident investigations, health and safety complaints, advice and enforcement
• Registration of individuals that undertake skin piercing activities including tattooing, semi-permanent skin colouring, ear / nose and cosmetic piercing, acupuncture, or electrolysis
• Caravan Site Licensing – issuing caravan site licences for residential and / or holiday use, including Gypsy and Traveller sites, caravan site inspections, and assessment and registration for ‘Fit and Proper Person’
