Purchase annual leave

The window to buy extra leave is closed and will reopen in March 2026.

How it works

You can purchase up to 10 days extra annual leave each year in addition to your normal annual leave entitlement, please take account of any leave you may have purchased earlier this year. This is pro-rata for part-time staff.

  • Repay the leave over 12 months - applications need to be made in February/March, so that the first salary reduction can be made in April and continue through to the following March
  • Repay the leave over 6 months - applications need to be made in August/September, so that the first salary reduction can be made in October and continue through to the following March.

Important – Each purchase is in addition to any previous purchases.

As this is a salary sacrifice scheme, by law, we are not allowed to reduce your pay to below the National Minimum Wage. So, membership of another scheme (Car, Cycle, Childcare Vouchers) may affect your ability to take advantage of this scheme. Similarly, joining this scheme may affect your ability to take advantage of any other salary sacrifice scheme.
