Book a training course

You can book and cancel most courses through Learning Lounge.

If you don't have Learning Lounge access, need to make a last minute cancellation or have any other queries about training contact Workforce Development.

Non attendance fee

We charge the service area £30 for staff who do not attend a training course they are booked onto.

We will make allowances for exceptional circumstances or if the booking is cancelled in advance of the course.

Why we charge for no-shows

There are times when staff are unable to attend a training course. In many cases colleagues cancel ahead of the date or contact to inform us they cannot make the course, but some colleagues don't tell us they can't attend which we term ‘no shows’.

The impact of ‘no shows’ is that we are left with unallocated places which raises the overall cost of training, increases further training needs and prevents us from reallocating places to people who are often on a waitlist.
