Relay UK

If you need to call a deaf or speech-impaired person, you can use your phone to be connected to a Relay Assistant who can:

• type what the person being called is saying so that the caller can read their responses on their smartphone, tablet or computer 
• read a caller’s written response to the person on the other end of the call
• work with a textphone

Relay UK service is free  – the caller will only pay their normal charges for any calls they make.

How to access and use Relay UK 

To use Relay UK as a hearing or speech impaired person:

1.  Download the Relay UK app
2.  Link your phone number to the app
3. Dial 18001 followed by our phone number 0808 808 0123

To use Relay UK as a hearing person, call 18002 followed by the person’s full number (including the dialling code)
