Apply for an ID badge

All Cheshire East staff should wear a photo ID badge inside the workplace. This will also give you fob access to the main corporate buildings.

What you will need before you apply

You will need an electronic photo of yourself. The photo must be:

  • jpeg format
  • head shot only (no hats or sunglasses)

How to apply

Use the online form to apply for a new or replacement ID badge. The form will take 5-10 minutes to complete.

Request for staff dual fob and ID badge

Buildings you will have access to

We issue an ID badge to Cheshire East staff. This gives access to:

  • Delamere House
  • Macclesfield Town Hall
  • Municipal Buildings

Restricted access is also available by request to:

  • Delamere House Car Park (for Crewe based staff only, you will need the vehicle registration number)
  • Oakenclough Children's Centre
  • Lifestyle Centre
  • Restricted areas of corporate buildings - for example Childrens Services, Safeguarding, and Elections
  • Macclesfield Family Centre
  • Congleton Library
  • Oaktree Family Hub
  • Carter House
  • Mayfield Centre
  • Redesmere Centre
  • The Brooks Childrens Centre

Badges will only be issued one week in advance of start date.

Renewing expired badges

Badges are only renewed for staff who use their badge for external visits or as a means of identification. Office based staff do not need to get their badges renewed.

Returning a badge when a staff member leaves

When you leave Cheshire East, you should return your ID badge, fob, or car park passes to your manager during your exit interview. If you are unable to do so, send them by internal post to:

Dave Armstrong
Post Room
Delamere House
Delamere Street
Crewe

Or you can hand them in at Macclesfield Town Hall, Delamere House, or Municipal Building. The Building Support Officers (BSOs) will collect these items from you.
